Current Initiatives
Picnic Table Revival
With a generous private donation, sixteen picnic tables across the park are going to get a new lease on life. In their current state, the tables have broken planks, warped seats, and peeling paint. With new wood and stain, these tables will be able to be put back into circulation for all to enjoy a nice meal in the outdoors.

Lodge Renovations
The limestone lodge at Palisades-Kepler was constructed in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corp. The large space can host weddings, family reunions, and other large gatherings.
The lodge kitchen needs updating to increase usability for park patrons. Currently, the electrical system is not able to handle the load necessary to accomodate the number of people that the lodge can host.
Upgrading the wiring, outlets, and circuit breakers is the first phase of the renovations. After that improvement, the next phases include new countertops and cabinets to modernize the space.
