First Day Hike

Ring in the changing of the calendar with the Iowa DNR’s best tradition. Take a wonderful hike with State Park staff and Friends of The Pal members while you check off at least one day towards your New Year’s Resolution.

We will hike no matter the weather, so bundle up tight and grab your snowshoes! Or maybe just a sweatshirt…we live in Iowa, so no one really knows what the day will bring. That’s part of the fun!
